Today’s Focus

The Today’s Focus card on your dashboard is your daily study guide. It combines two sources of recommendations:
  1. Spaced repetition cards due for review — Spots where the scheduled review date has arrived
  2. AI-powered recommendations — Spots that the system identifies as needing attention based on your overall performance data

How recommendations work

The recommendation engine considers:
FactorHow it’s used
Spaced repetition scheduleSpots with due review dates are prioritized
Mastery levelLower-mastery spots get recommended more often
Recent accuracySpots where accuracy has been declining get flagged
Training recencySpots you haven’t trained in a long time are surfaced
Leak dataIf leak detection identifies a pattern, related spots are recommended

Following recommendations

1

Open the Home dashboard

The Today’s Focus card is visible when you first log in.
2

Review the recommended spots

The card shows a list of spots with their mastery level and why they’re recommended (e.g., “Due for review” or “Accuracy declining”).
3

Start training

Click on a recommended spot to go to the Study workspace, then press ⌘T to start training. Or create a study plan from the recommended spots and train them as a set.

Recommendations vs. your own study plans

Recommendations don’t replace your study plans. Think of them as suggestions that complement your structured training:
  • Study plans are for deliberate, organized practice sessions you’ve planned yourself
  • Today’s Focus catches spots that might fall through the cracks — ranges you haven’t reviewed in a while or areas where your performance is slipping

Tips

Start every session with Today’s Focus. Spend the first 5–10 minutes on recommended spots, then switch to your study plan for the rest of the session. This ensures your spaced repetition schedule stays on track.
  • If the same spot keeps appearing in Today’s Focus, it means you need more practice on it
  • As your mastery levels increase, fewer spots will appear in the daily recommendations
  • Check back throughout the day — new recommendations may appear as review dates come due
